Application “Fencing Basics” 

Toronto, July 2013My Fencing Club was chosen to film App Central, a consumer technology show that aired on CTV, BNN, as well as internationally in South Korea, Australia and Hong Kong. The app “Fencing Basics” uses short instructional video clips to help novice fencers learn the proper techniques for basic maneuvers.

Maybe it’s Maybelline?

Out of the 50+ fencers who auditioned to participate in a Maybelline 2011 commercial, Katya Belkina was selected, as they needed a real fencer for the project. Fencing a model was challenging enough, yet Katya knew how to fence aggressively but not hurt the model.

Canadian born actor, Kristopher Turner prepared himself for his role in the Hallmark Channel original movie, “Old Fashioned Christmas”, by taking fencing lessons with Katya. The video above features: a snippet of the duel featured in the movie, a short clip of an interview with Kristopher and some shots taken during his fencing lessons with Katya.
